Day 1 — Tokyo to Kushiro
Reach Kushiro Airport by direct flight from Tokyo Haneda and meet with our local guides, who will be with you for the entirety of the tour. Jump onboard your private shuttle bus to reach Ana Crowne Plaza Kushiro. Check-in and enjoy your free time in your first night in Hokkaido.

Day 2 – Kushiro Marsh and Akan Mashu National Park
Our journey will start with a memorable trip through the Kushiro Marshlands with a light trekking and watching tour provided by local UNWTO guides.
Next, we will head to Tsurui Village, a famous place to spot the red-crowned Hokkaido Cranes, a symbol of luck, longevity, and fidelity. Challenge yourself by taking some pictures of these wonderful animals while admiring them from a distance.
In the afternoon, we continue our journey to the Wakoto Peninsula for a nature-guided light trekking, exploring the incredible flora and fauna of this natural environment.
At the end of the day, we check in at Kawayu Daiichi Hotel Suikazura, a beautiful onsen hotel with cozy lounges and rooms and one of the best buffet meals in Hokkaido.

Day 3 – Teshikaga
On this day, we set our alarm early to join a light trekking tour of Mt. Atosanupuri, an active volcano located in the Hokkaido's Akan-Mashu National Park, with its name meaning “Bare Mountain” in the indigenous Ainu language, as it perfectly reflects its dramatic landscape of rocks and sparse vegetation.
Formerly a sulfur mine, the mountain has a vast concentration of sulfur and thousands of fumaroles, which emit smoke plumes in a
mystic atmosphere that you may have never experienced before.
In the afternoon instead, we will head to the observatory No.1 of Lake Mashu, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the lake the entire caldera of Akan-Mashu National Park. At evening, we will head back to the hotel and have a stroll around the beautiful onsen town of Sunayu decorated with illuminations.

Day 4 – Shiretoko Five Lakes
Start your day packing your stuff for your next adventure
as we approach the most remote area of Hokkaido, Shiretoko.
Before that, we make a small detour at Kami no Ko,
a beautiful small pond characterized by a clear, blue color associated to Japanese gods.
Once in Shiretoko, our local UNWTO guide will lead you to the area of the "Five Lakes",
where you will learn about the flora and fauna and have some wildlife encounters in a light trekking guided tour.
End your day at the natural resort of Kiki Shiretoko, located amidst the hilltop forests of picturesque Shiretoko.

Day 5 – From Shiretoko to Kitami
On this day, we will be heading Utoro Port where we will board a cruising boat tour with our UNWTO guides.
We will have the chance to spot wild brown bears and admire numerous waterfalls and astonishing rock formations along the way.
After tasting local sea food specialties at Michi No Eki Utoro Shirietoku, in the afternoon, we will head towards Kitami and check in at Oe Honke, a beautiful Japanese Ryokan with delicious Japanese buffet and amazing onsen where you can soak in and recharge for the rest of the trip.

Day 6 – From Sounkyo to Asahikawa
On this day, we continue our journey towards the South of Hokkaido by visiting the picturesque Daisetsu Mountain during its best season with incredible autumn colours.
We will ascend the mountain onboard a ropeway and admire the spectacular natural views that only Hokkaido can offer.
In the afternoon, we will be heading to the city of Asahikawa, where you will have some free time after checking in at the cozy Dormy Inn Asahikawa.

Day 7 – Sapporo - Jozankei Onsen
Our journey continue this day reaching the capital of Hokkaido, Sapporo.
Here, we will tour some of the highlights of the city including the Sapporo Hokkaido Jingu and the Sapporo Beer Factory, before heading in the afternoon to the picturesque onsen town of Jozankei. Here you can experience the real Japanese onsen experience by having free strolls through the town and soaking in a hot spring at your accommodation.

Day 8 – Otaru

At the end of the day, we will head back to Sapporo for a special farewell dinner! Stay at Sapporo Excel Hotel Tokyu.
